Bekasi Emergency Numbers 2026: Put a Card on the Fridge Before You Need It

Two in the morning is a bad time to search Google for the fire department number. Here are the numbers compiled from public sources, what to say on the call, and how to prepare your cluster gate.

Kingspoint entrance gate on Jl. Raya Perjuangan, Bekasi Utara: fire trucks and ambulances need a clear way in, so plan the gate before an emergency

Picture a small short circuit in a neighbour's kitchen at 02:10. Smoke is already climbing the stairs and everyone on the lane stands on their porch holding a phone. One person types "Bekasi fire department number" into Google, another asks the neighbourhood WhatsApp group, which is quiet at that hour. The first minute is the most expensive one.

Kota Bekasi recorded 314 fire incidents across 2025, according to RRI. That does not make your house high-risk, but it is reason enough to prepare one sheet of paper.

112: the first number to memorise

Kota Bekasi has Mayor Regulation No. 32 of 2024 on the Single Emergency Call Number Service 112. According to its preamble on the city's JDIH legal database, it exists to speed up emergency response and coordination between agencies, and it implements Communications Ministry Regulation No. 10 of 2016. So you dial one number, and the operator routes the call to the fire department, an ambulance or the disaster agency (BPBD).

We have read the summary of the regulation, not every article, so we make no claims here about Bekasi's service hours or internal procedure. What is certain is that 112 is the national emergency number, and even a snake in the house is directed there.

Direct numbers worth writing down

As a backup if 112 is busy or the signal is poor, these are the numbers Antara published in its Bekasi emergency list (4 March 2025):

ServiceNumber
Kota Bekasi fire department (Damkar)021-88957805 / 08577-5721-4973
Kota Bekasi disaster agency (BPBD)0821-1234-99719
RSUD ambulance021-8841005
Police021-8841110
Ambulance and medical (national)119
Police (national)110
Search and rescue (national)115

One caveat: that list is more than a year old. Agency phone numbers change, so call one of them once on a calm Saturday afternoon to confirm it still works. Finding a dead number during an emergency is the worst time to learn it.

What to say on the call

Dispatchers can only send help to a place they can find. Prepare these four things and say them in order:

  1. Full address. Street (Jl. Raya Perjuangan), cluster name, block and house number, sub-district. Add a landmark, such as "main gate next to the guard post".
  2. Type of incident. Fire, someone collapsed, flood, fallen tree. One sentence.
  3. Number and condition of people hurt. Someone trapped upstairs, someone unconscious.
  4. Your name and a number they can call back. Do not hang up before the operator does.

Write all four on a card, including your home address as a ready-to-read sentence. Panic makes people forget their own house number.

The part people skip: the cluster gate

A fire truck or ambulance cannot get past the barrier if the guard does not know what is happening. So, sort these out before anything happens:

  • Tell the guards or the estate committee that emergency vehicles get the gate opened immediately, no questions asked.
  • Keep the guard post number on the same card. From inside the house, one call to the post can open the gate while the 112 operator stays on the other line.
  • Do not park on the estate road. Cluster lanes are narrow already, and one parked car can block a fire truck.
  • In a two-storey house, make sure everyone knows a second way out. We cover the full evacuation routine in our article on cluster fires.

How to make the fridge card

It is simple. Print one sheet, laminate it if you like, and stick it on the fridge door and near the home phone. Put 112 at the top in large type, then the direct numbers, your home address as a ready sentence, the guard post number and your RT head's number. Photograph the card and save it as a favourite on every family member's phone, including the household helper and any child old enough to hold one.

Teach children over six to dial 112 and say the address. Five minutes over dinner, once a month, is enough practice.
