What's the upside compared to a UPS? Mobility. You can deploy it anywhere in the house, take it on a road trip, or use it for camping. Solar charging means it's truly self-sufficient when PLN is out for days (disaster scenarios). When you're not using it for backup, some owners use it for time-of-use electricity arbitrage — charge at night (low tariff), discharge during the day (high tariff). Economic ROI is slow but real.

The downside: total capacity stays below a UPS at the same price point, and the unit has to live in a cool space. Lithium batteries don't tolerate sustained temperatures above 35°C.
